Stan Gilman, Hilco Appraisal Services Co-Founder, Joins 1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions LLC As Managing Director

1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Stanley Gilman as a Managing Director.  Mr. Gilman recently retired from Hilco Appraisal Services, a company that he co-founded 15 years ago and specializes in asset valuations, nationally and internationally.  As a practitioner, Stan conducted thousands of consumer and non-consumer inventory valuations such as apparel, footwear, grocery, pharmaceutical, jewelry and sporting goods.

Mr. Gilman has a diverse background compiling more than 30 years of high-level experience in finance, inventory management, operations, strategic business development and business planning serving manufacturers, distributors and retailers.  During the past 15 years, he provided specialized services such as asset valuations, liquidation strategies and restructuring actions. While with Hilco he also spent countless hours peer reviewing inventory valuations and mentoring senior-level appraisers and analysts.

Stan has an undergraduate degree with a major in accounting and finance from Bryant University, earned his MBA degree with a major in finance from Babson College and obtained a graduate certificate in special studies with an emphasis in finance from Harvard University.  He has lectured to banks and published articles regarding inventory valuations.
